Honey Mutton ribs


  1. Mutton ribs – 8 pieces
  2. Onion/ shallots cut – 4tbsp
  3. Garlic cloves – 8
  4. Black pepper – 2tsp
  5. Cinnamon stick – 2” piece
  6. Soya sauce – 1tbsp
  7. Chili sauce – 1 tb sp ( optional)
  8. Honey – 2 tbsp
  9. White vinegar – 1 tbsp
  10. Olive oil / Veg oil – 1tbsp
  11. Salt – to taste
  12. Honey – 1 tbsp


  1. Grind ingredients 2 – 11 in a mixer, marinate the ribs with this mixture and keep in the fridge for an hour or more.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the ribs and the remaining liquid mixture, you may add ¼ cup water also to this. Cover and cook in very low flame. Turn occasionally until the ribs cook and the gravy  coat the ribs completely.
  3. Add the remaining honey on the top, mix well and serve hot.
